Number 1 Destination in the world

Even though the international crisis is negatively affecting the foreign tourist flow in Mexico, Quintana Roo gathered until the first week of December, 12 million tourists (an extra million since 2007), and had a 23% annual growth, said The State's Secretary of Tourism, Carlos Joaquin Gonzalez.

He was very firm when saying that in spite of the crisis, this destination keeps growing in plane seats, this fact shouldn't surprise that the state is generating 4.5 billion dollars per year, and close to a 33% is generated only by the national tourist sector.
